$40.00CADper Visit / Includes
  • Test water chemistry and add appropriate dosages of chemicals to keep the water balanced and comfortable for your swimming enjoyment
  • (Chemicals not included)

Our standard weekly maintenance rate is $70.00 per visit plus the cost of required chemicals to keep the pool balanced. The rate covers up to 45 minutes of time for a single technician crew, or 30 minutes for a double-technician crew. It is not common for our technicians to require more than this timeframe to perform weekly maintenance, unless the pool is oversized/complex and/or has a large amount of debris. For the latter, this normally occurs with clients whose pools are open when trees are flowering in early spring or foliage is dropping late into fall, or after severe storms.

During each visit our technicians will perform the following tasks:

• Skim any surface debris, vacuum the pool and scrub the water line
• Backwash sand filters, ensure filter pressure is optimal on cartridge filters, and clean the skimmer and pump baskets
• Test the water chemistry and add appropriate dosages of chemicals to keep water balanced and comfortable for your swimming enjoyment (chemicals not included)
• Ensure equipment is operating properly and there are no visible leaks
• Fill out a detailed report indicating the following:

1. Time when service was started/finished
2. Name of technician(s)
3. Service(s) completed
4. Chemical test results
5. Chemicals added to pool
6. Chemicals/supplies sold. Note: we will use up any chemicals which you currently have before selling you anything new
7. Notes for yourself/office to follow up on (e.g. low water level)

If your pool requires service between visits, we strongly recommend you contact the office ASAP to arrange this. An example of extra service being required is if the pool has gone cloudy; this may occur after a large storm or if you have larger than normal bather load. We will schedule additional visits if
the pool has a water clarity issue upon our arrival on your regular maintenance day. Applicable charges apply for additional visits; $40.00 for a chemical check, or standard maintenance rate if we are testing chemistry and cleaning the pool.

The pool will require extensive balancing over the first few appointments of the season. When a pool is winterized approximately 1/3 of the water is removed and, in the spring, it has been replaced with rainwater/snow melt (safety covers) or with tap water. This results in the water being unbalanced, and it is normal for larger amounts of products to be added to the pool to adjust stabilizer, calcium hardness, alkalinity, borate, and salt (when applicable). If you do not currently have inventory of these chemicals, we will have to sell you new products. This could add up to several hundred dollars, the price of these quality chemicals is the same as what they sell for in our retail store. Not only does this keep the pool clear and comfortable to swim in, but it will also protect your pool surface and equipment.

For all pools we also add a maintenance dosage of algaecide and stain/sequestering chemicals on a weekly basis (200ml), and for sand filters we add a product called Clarita Ultra 3/1 bi-weekly to increase the efficiency of your sand filter and reduces phosphates from the pool.

If you request that we test water for a stand-alone spa, separate from the pool, during your weekly appointment this can be done at an additional rate of $40.00/visit. Please note that spas require their water to be tested/balanced serval times during the week and must be shocked after each use. Due to this fact Ultimate Pool Service cannot be responsible for ensuring the water is balanced between appointments. Note, every three months a spa should be emptied and refilled, we also recommend that a Spa Drain Kit be added prior to draining to remove organic material form the pluming lines. Attached spas will have an added charge of $15.00 to the visit, as it requires additional time and techniques to clean.

It is your responsibility to maintain proper water levels as due to liability issues we are unable to leave garden hoses running in a pool to fill it. If your pool is equipped with an auto-leveler/filler, please inform us if it does not appear to be functioning properly or if you have abnormally high water bills.
