Summer Smiles Klean Filter is a concentrated cleaner that removes dirt, scale, rust, body oils and cosmetic residue buildup from pool and spa sand or cartridge filters. Used regularly, it helps improve filtration and prolong the life of sand and cartridge filters.

Directions for Sand Filters
- Raise the water level to above the skimmer, up to the maximum level
- Stop the filter and ensure the skimmer basket is clean and empty
- If the filter is located near the skimmer, pour the contents of the bottle directly into the skimmer basket with the filter in the “Filter” position
- Start the filter, let it run for 5 seconds, then stop the filter
- If the filter is located far from the skimmer, pour the contents of the bottle directly into the pump basket, close the lid and run the pump until the coloured liquid is gone and the water is clear
- Let soak for 8 hours
- After 8 hours, change the filter position to “Backwash”, start the pump and let it run for 2 to 5 minutes
- Stop the pump, return the filter to the “Filter” position and restart
Directions for Cartridge Filters
- Prepare a solution of 250 mL of Klean Filter per 5 L of water in a bucket
- Adjust quantities as needed depending on the height of the cartridge
- Place the cartridge upright in the pail, ensuring it is completely covered by the solution
- Allow to soak for a minimum of 6 hours
- Remove the cartridge from the solution and rinse immediately with cold tap water
- Let the cartridge dry, replace it in the filter and restart the filter
Important Safety Information
Use only as directed. Do not apply when swimmers are in the pool. Follow sand filter or cartridge filter directions carefully based on your filter type.
Compatible with salt systems and spas. Always restart filtration only after completing the proper cleaning and rinsing steps.
