What happens if my pool isn't ready on closing day?
To help ensure your pool closing is completed as scheduled, please remove any visible debris, vacuum the pool if necessary, ensure the equipment area is accessible, and have your pool water professionally tested and balanced within 2 days of your scheduled appointment.
For Equipment Shutdown and Partial Pool Closing services, the pool water level must be lowered to the appropriate level several days before your scheduled appointment. Lowering the water level the day before or the day of your appointment may result in the pool not being ready for service.
We send a reminder approximately three business days before your scheduled appointment outlining these preparation requirements.
Are closing chemicals required?
Yes. Properly balanced water chemistry is an important part of preparing your pool for winter. We recommend having your pool water professionally tested and balanced within two days of your scheduled pool closing so the appropriate closing chemicals can be added based on your pool's current water chemistry.
For pools with solid winter covers, we do not recommend adding liquid chlorine (shock), as high chlorine concentrations trapped beneath the cover can bleach vinyl liners and other pool surfaces.
Can I schedule my pool opening at the same time?
Yes. Many homeowners schedule their pool opening when booking their closing service to secure preferred dates for the following season.
