Fitting Saver designed to provide a long-term repair for broken, cracked or poorly glued pool return fittings connected to compatible 1.5" straight pipe.
The 4" Frankenplug / Fitting Saver (RFS04) is designed to repair leaking, broken, cracked or poorly glued pool return fittings without requiring replacement of the damaged fitting and surrounding plumbing. It works with standard 1.5" return fittings and threaded pipes, including most Hayward SP1022, SP1023, SP1408 and comparable fittings plumbed with 1.5" pipe.
After the existing eyeball is removed, the Fitting Saver is inserted through the damaged fitting and into the straight pipe. Tightening the hex nut expands the durable rubber collar to create a seal inside the pipe and at the wall fitting. A cosmetic face plate conceals the rubber seal and nut, while a 3/4" diameter opening maintains water flow through the repaired return when the circulation system is placed back into service.
