Warranty & Support Policy
Warranty Policy
Effective Date: April 7, 2026
At Ultimate Pool Service Inc., we stand behind the products we sell and aim to make the warranty process as straightforward as possible for our customers.
For many products sold on ultimatepools.ca, warranty coverage is provided by the manufacturer. Warranty periods, coverage terms, exclusions, and claim requirements vary by brand and product.
1. Our In-House Warranty Support
If you believe a product you purchased from us may be defective and covered under warranty, please contact us first at info@ultimatepools.ca.
We handle warranty claims in house wherever possible. Depending on the product, issue, and inventory availability, we may:
- troubleshoot the issue with you,
- request photos, videos, proof of purchase, or other supporting information,
- inspect the product,
- replace the product directly from our inventory if appropriate and available, or
- facilitate the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf.
2. Direct Replacement by Ultimate Pool Service
Where appropriate and subject to availability, we may replace an eligible defective product directly from our inventory.
Direct replacement is not guaranteed in every case. Whether we provide a direct replacement depends on factors such as inventory availability, the nature of the issue, the applicable manufacturer program, and the outcome of our warranty review.
3. Manufacturer Warranty Claims
If a direct replacement is not available, not appropriate, or manufacturer authorization is required, we will assist by facilitating the warranty claim process with the manufacturer.
All manufacturer warranty claims remain subject to the manufacturer’s terms, conditions, coverage limitations, inspection requirements, and final approval.
4. Labour Coverage
Labour costs, including installation, removal, service, troubleshooting, and call-out charges, may be covered only if the applicable manufacturer warranty expressly includes labour coverage.
Labour reimbursement or labour-authorized service is not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing by us or the manufacturer.
5. What Is Typically Required for a Warranty Claim
To process a warranty request, we may require:
- proof of purchase,
- the order number or customer name used for purchase,
- photos and/or video of the issue,
- the product serial number or model number, where applicable,
- details about installation, use, maintenance, and water chemistry, where applicable, and
- return of the product or defective part for inspection, if requested.
6. What Is Not Covered
Unless expressly covered by the applicable manufacturer warranty, warranty coverage does not apply to issues caused by or related to:
- improper installation or improper removal,
- failure to follow manufacturer instructions, manuals, or specifications,
- improper maintenance, lack of maintenance, or improper winterization,
- incorrect water chemistry or chemical damage,
- freezing, overheating, power surges, or environmental damage,
- misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, or unauthorized modification,
- commercial or non-residential use where the product is intended for residential use only,
- normal wear and tear, cosmetic wear, or consumable items, unless specifically covered by the manufacturer.
7. Time Limits
Warranty coverage begins and ends according to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty period, unless otherwise stated in writing.
If you believe a product is defective, please contact us as soon as possible after the issue arises. Delays in reporting may affect warranty eligibility where the manufacturer requires prompt notice or inspection.
8. Shipping and Return of Warranty Items
In some cases, a product, component, or defective part may need to be returned for inspection, testing, or manufacturer review.
The customer may be responsible for shipping, removal, reinstallation, or related costs unless those costs are expressly covered by the manufacturer warranty or otherwise confirmed by us in writing.
9. Remedies
The available remedy for an approved warranty claim may include, depending on the circumstances and applicable warranty terms:
- repair,
- replacement,
- manufacturer-supplied replacement parts,
- store credit, or
- another remedy authorized by the manufacturer or provided by us at our discretion where appropriate.
10. No Limitation of Your Legal Rights
This Warranty Policy is intended to explain how we assist with product warranty claims. It does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
